In winning this prestigious award, four-year-old Mariner Media of Buena Vista, Virginia, is proud to stand alongside the other winners, which include such publishing giants as Indiana University Press (with four medals), Kent State University Press (which took home three), and Yale University Press (which led the medal count with five). Winners receive gold, silver, and bronze medals and can place the award image on their book covers.
Earlier this year, Mariner Media—which also operates a full-service advertising agency—won a Silver Spike award from the American Advertising Federation for creativity in the promotion of Arts and Sciences, the highest award presented in the category.
